2. Water More, Less Often

Frequent watering tends to promote weed growth and doesn’t saturate the ground deep enough to properly nourish your lawn. Water in greater quantity rather than frequency.

3. Get Rid of Crabgrass

Crabgrass is a wiry thick weed like grass that has a long root that creeps across your yard. Crabgrass can turn into a big problem fast if it is not adequately addressed.

There are a few preventative things you can do to keep crabgrass at bay. First, mow high. This will keep the ground moist and shaded. Crab grass thrives in a hot dry environment. Shallow watering can encourage crab grass to grow while stunting the growth of your lawn. Deep watering prevents crabgrass from taking over. If all else fails, commit herbicide. 4. The “F” in Fall Means Fertilize
